Our story
Not everything was built around a product.
Not everything was built in a day. It all started with a reality.
The invisible ones. People with disabilities who are too rarely seen, and who often remain on the margins of the working world. Not because they have nothing to offer. But because the systems were not designed with them in mind.
For many, the journey stops there.
Work programs, repetitive days, and a few dollars at the end. $5 to $10 a day. It is called a solution. But it is not true inclusion.
So we decided to do things differently.
Create a food production workshop
A workshop in Montreal, designed from the start around people. Structured and concrete, where everyone takes part in every stage of production — also open to businesses for custom projects and adapted production.
But for this model to work, product quality was essential. With freeze-dried fruit, there is nowhere to hide. Unlike many imported products that are simply repackaged, we rigorously select each fruit — taste, ripeness, quality.
Because healthy and delicious snacks are not an option. They are a requirement.
La Cabane is open to the public.
A unique place in Montreal where production is visible, where you can see the gestures, the people, the work.
Here, the invisible become visible. They participate. They learn. They produce. They grow. And above all, they are proud.
Proud of their work. Proud of their place in the company, and in society.
